Level 2 Apprenticeship
Our Bricklaying Apprenticeship at Greenlight gives you practical, hands-on experience working on real construction sites, developing the skills needed to build and maintain brick and block structures to a professional standard.
You’ll learn key techniques in bricklaying, including setting out, mixing mortar, interpreting drawings, and working safely and efficiently on site. Alongside technical skills, you’ll build confidence in teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail - essential for working in the construction industry.
Apprenticeship Overview
Our Bricklaying Apprenticeship at Greenlight is a great starting point for anyone wanting to build a career in the construction industry. An apprenticeship can provide hands-on experience on active building sites, learning how to carry out brick and block work to a professional standard while supporting the delivery of real projects across housing, commercial, and infrastructure environments.
You’ll develop practical skills in setting out, mixing mortar, interpreting drawings, and laying bricks and blocks accurately and efficiently. Alongside this, you’ll learn how to work safely on site, maintain high standards of quality, and adapt to different working conditions and tasks as they arise.
As you progress, you’ll build confidence working within a site team, communicating with supervisors and other trades, and taking responsibility for your own work. This apprenticeship is designed to give you a solid platform for progression, whether that’s developing into a qualified bricklayer or moving into more advanced construction roles.
