Scaffolding Awareness

Overview

This course has been designed for delegates with no formal qualifications or experience in the scaffolding industry. It is aimed at anyone who operates on or around scaffolding as part of their work or has responsibilities for managing site scaffolding operations.

Gain an understanding of:

-          The legal responsibilities relating to the control of scaffolding operations on site

-          The current relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice

-          Scaffold components and structures

-          Access and egress (working at height hierarchy)

-          Foundations

-          Ties and stability

-          Inspection techniques and handover – what to look for, typical problems

-          Practical Scaffold Inspection

-          Where and when scaffold designs are required

Certification for this course is valid for 3 years. To remain certified, delegates will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

Key Information

  • This course is half a day in duration.

  • To attend this course you are required to have completed a short pre-requisite quiz, this will be distributed to you prior to the course start date. Please bring a form of photo identification on the day of your training course. Please also inform the Greenlight team of any allergies/preferences, as lunch will be provided.
